Uxio Abuin Ares has won second consecutive ITU World Cups for the first time

Uxio Abuin Ares(ESP) captured back to back win while the other two podium spots were earned by Joao Silva (POR) and Gregory Billington (USA).

11 Japanese male athletes competed in the race held in their home country on Saturday, 29th October.

Takanori Sugihara and Russell White (IRL) made a brave breakaway from the first pack on lap five, however, they eventually brought back to the group of 37, then, it stayed together until the end of the bike.

In the final result, Makoto Odakura finished as number 1 Japanese. The 11th place was his best result in World Cup events.
