Ai Ueda opend her season with a bronze in Cape Town, South Africa

Ai Ueda scores back-to-back podium finishes in 2017 Cape Town ITU Triathlon World Cup on Saturday, 11 February. It was her third consecutive podium finish since Tongyeong ITU Triathlon World Cup.

“Weather was pretty hot today but I was pushing hard until the finish line. I am very happy to be back on the podium again. It is a great start to my season.” She showed her satisfaction with the third place.

Great Britain’s Lucy Hall and Jessica Learmonth raced side by side all the way till the blue carpet finish straight and Lucy won her first ever ITU World Cup race on an amazing sprint finish against her training partner Jessica.

Juri Ide and Yurie Matsuda made a TOP-10 finish.
