Persona1 Achievements and Goals
It is my immense pleasure to stand for member of the ITU Medical and Anti-Doping Committee.
I have been involved in organizing measures for the safety of competitors and anti-doping activities. l was involved in research on the effects of long endurance
exercise on the human body functions at the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in
Kona,Hawaii in 1981. That was my first opportunity to be involved in the triathlon.
Since then,l have been involved in various activities regarding the triathlon, not only in
the research area but also in medical aid and anti-doping activities。
In 1985,1 was involved in the establishment and administration of medical aid at the Strongman Triathlon in Miyako Island,0kinawa,Japan,and medical aid and anti-doping activities in the Ironman Japan in Lake Biwa,and various other races in Japan.
l have been involved in the ITU Medical and Anti-Doping activities since 1989,when the ITU was established. l have attended the Medical Committee meeting and have been involved in medical aid at the ITU races several times. l was dispatched as the ITU medical delegate to the World Championship held in Seoul on 91h May 2010.
I stated above,l have conducted research on the effects of exercise on various functions of human body,and l would like to apply the results of this research to the
medical aid and safety of competitors.
lf l would be reelected the member of the Medical and Anti-doping Committee, I am determined to contribute to the ITU activities as the Medical and Anti-Doping Committee member, putting my experience,as thoroughly as possible.
