Juri Ide getting back on World Triathlon Series podium for the first time since 2014 Chicago Grand Final Triathlon. It was her fourth WTS podium finish.

“Honestly, I am glad to win.” Juri said. “When I have fallen off my bike at 2016 Abu Dhabi, and I missed Rio Olympic Games as the result, I was considering to retire my triathlon career, however, my team, Sports Club NAS, and sponsors told me that ‘Let’s aim for 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. We will support you everything!’. The words and their warm suppot gave me courage. That is why I can continue my dream now. This bronze medal is not only mine but also them. I want to extend my gratitude to all my supporters.” She added that “I look forward to get another medal at WTS Yokohama in Japan.”
