The 34th Asia Triathlon (AST) Annual Congress Was Held
On Saturday, May 30, the 34th Asia Triathlon (AST) Annual Congress was held in conjunction with the “Asia Triathlon Cup (2026 / Osaka Castle)” and “Osaka Castle Triathlon 2026.”
The Congress was attended by AST President Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi Al Saud, World Triathlon (TRI) President Antonio Arimany, and TRI Vice President and Executive Director of Triathlon Japan (TRIJ), Shinichiro Otsuka. A total of 31 National Federations (NFs) from across Asia participated, including 14 attending in person and 17 joining online.

During the Congress, financial and operational matters were approved, and activity reports from each specialized committee were presented. In addition, TRI introduced its new branding plan, which will be launched in 2027.
In the marketing session, NTT, an official AST partner, presented its “2026 Asia Triathlon Event Support Plan.” Wilier Triestina was also introduced as a new AST Development Partner.
Furthermore, China expressed its intention to host the 2027 AST Congress and the Asia Triathlon Championships.
The Congress concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to reunite at the 20th Asian Games (2026 Aichi-Nagoya), scheduled to take place in September.
