　APRIL UPDATE: BARCIS 29th may 2005

BARCIS: The official voice of Turin 2006 will comment the World Championship of Barcis

ACC Triathlon Team Cordenons, the LOC of the next ITU Long Distance Duathlon World
Championships, which will be held in Barcis on the next 29th May, doesn’t leave
anything to chance. Indeed Stefano Ceiner, a prestigious speaker one of the official
voices of the next Olympics of Turin 2006, better known as Danny Ueppa, will comment
real time the feats of duathletes beside the spectacular courses of Valcellina.
The professionist coming from Trieste, famous as speaker and presenter of important
sports events is one of the official voices of the Downhill Skiing World Cup and
many other winter sports and not only. In his recent past he acted as the official
presenter during the prize-giving ceremony of closure of the downhill skiing
races, making part of the University Winter Olympics of Tarvisio 2003. As it was
already mentioned, he will also be present at the Winter Olympics of Turin 2006 as
the official speaker of all the events dealing with male and female Freestyle and of
female Alpine Skiing. Before the prestigious date with the ITU Long Distance Duathlon
World Championship of Barcis, Danny Ueppa will be buisy, for the third consecutive year,
at the kermess “La Bavisela ? Maratona d’Europa” (“Bavisela ? the European Marathon”)
– a week dedicated to sports, cultural and entertaining events. And after the date with
duathlon he will partecipate at the European Juvenile Olympics (Eyof) taking place in
Lignano Sabbiadoro (Ud) and surroundings since 3rd to 9th July.

BARCIS:
Mariano Engineering’s test at the Long Distance Duathlon World Championship of Barcis

A rich schedule full of events and initiatives is expected as a part of the ITU Long
Distance Duathlon World Championship of Barcis on 29th May. The test by Alessandro
Mariano and Ki.Co.Sys will represent one of these attractions and it will have place
during the days of competition’s development. It will be on hand of the athletes,
who will have a possibility to an already famous test of functional assessment and
biomechanics, offered by Mariano Engineering, the company from Pavia leading in the
field of technology applied to sport. These exams are computerized with the most
advanced equipment, it employes the athlete in alternating intensive and soft cycle
activities. By the means of sensors put on the rider and interfaced by a special
programm it is possible to draw a series of images describing atlete’s positions
relating to different conditions of his effort. Many tests applied to the athletes
of different age and cathegories have showed a considerable growth of a quality of
performance due to the corection of a seat made after a carefull analysis of the
results given by this test, named Biotecss.

A continuous research in course in laboratories of Mariano Engineering has brought
to the creation of Biotecss5, which is the natural evlution of Biotecss,
the biomechanical tast well-known in the field of cycling. The experience gathered
by the firm of Alessandro Mariano, staying by the best professionists’
and sport-lovers’ side, has permited a further qualitative leap regarding
Biotecss and Biotecss5. Many professionists make this kind of test more times a
season. It is interesting that in this period, afer a collection of different data
and previous muscular adaptation, it is going to be developed a project for the
construction of cycle frame that will suit morphological needs of athletes, but
will also respect all the mechanical characteristics that will permit to obtain
the top results in all the typologies of races.
