ウクライナ選手団の受け入れへ　2022ワールドトライアスロンシリーズ横浜大会（5月14日開催）　

2022世界トライアスロンシリーズ横浜大会組織委員会（会長：山中竹春（横浜市市長）構成団体：横浜市、公益社団法人日本トライアスロン連合、公益財団法人横浜市スポーツ協会、日刊スポーツ新聞社）は、2022年5月14日開催の2022ワールドトライアスロン・パラトライアスロンシリーズ横浜大会に参加希望を示しているウクライナ・トライアスロン/パラトライアスロン代表選手団の5名（選手3名、コーチ2名）を横浜大会において受け入れることを決定し、大会期間中（最大5月9日から5月16日）における渡航費・滞在費等の支援を行うことを決定いたしました。

なお、大会開催に伴い、国際オリンピック委員会（IOC）委員のワールドトライアスロンのマリソル・カサド会長（スペイン）の来日が決定いたしました。5月10日（火）には山中竹春横浜市長への表敬訪問等の活動を予定しています。

Ukrainian Triathlon Team to Participate in 2022 World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama (May 14) with Support from the Japanese Organizers

2022 World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama Event Organizing Committee (Chairman: Takeharu Yamanaka (Mayor of Yokohama); Affiliated bodies: Yokohama City, The Japan Triathlon Union, Yokohama City Sports Association, The Nikkan Sports News) have decided to welcome five members of the Ukrainian Triathlon/Paratriathlon Team (3 athletes and 2 coaches) to participate in the 2022 World Triathlon Championship Series / Para Series Yokohama to be held on May 14, 2022. During the event period (from May 9 through 16 at the maximum), the Organizing Committee will support/sponsor the airfares and accommodation fees, etc. for the Ukrainian Team.

For this event, President Marisol Casado (Spain) of World Triathlon and also a member of the International Olympic Committee will be visiting Japan. President Casado is scheduled to make a courtesy call to Yokohama Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka and will engage in other activities in Yokohama on May 10 (Tue).
